AUSTIN, TEXAS – June 24, 2015 – Headlight Data, the premier online data software company for the economic and workforce development industry, launches its new ROI Selection Tool with customer Indiana Michigan Power Economic Development (I&M).

“Our new ROI Selection tool gives cities a never-before-seen way to promote their cost-savings benefits, while also allowing potential new companies and site selectors to quickly and easily compare costs of doing business across any city in the United States,” said Chris Engle, President of Headlight Data. “We’re incredibly proud of this tool, and with today’s launch, it will now provide benefits to the I&M community.”

“We know that having the ability to provide accurate data is essential to being competitive and helping communities grow. Our partnership with Headlight Data will make the data-mining process as easy as possible for our prospects to help bring jobs to our service territory,” said Rob Cleveland, CEcD, I&M Director, Economic Development & Community Affairs. “We’re confident that this new ROI Selection Tool will successfully reveal how our Midwest location, below state and national average power rates and low-tax climate can serve those who want to locate and expand in the communities we serve and are proud to call home.”

The new tool estimates the annual cost for labor, utilities, taxes and real estate based on a company’s size, industry and the city selected for analysis. Companies and their site selection advisors can choose from over 35,000 cities, counties and metros in the United States to get cost estimates for over 200 separate industries.  I&M ED’s ROI Selection Tool is free to the public and allows users to create and save reports.

The ROI Selection Tool was designed and built by Headlight Data. The tool relies on data from multiple sources to populate its database of cities and metros across the United States. When no data for a location is available, modeled data or weighted averages of neighboring or comparable geographies are used.

I&M is the financial sponsor of the ROI Selection Tool, aiming to showcase the low cost, low-tax climate in Northeast Indiana and Southwest Michigan to companies considering a relocation within the United States.
