Recently released data from the Bureau of Economic Analysis illuminates which counties have the highest Median Household Income (MHHI). Headlight Data ranks 2015 Median Household Income for all counties in the U.S.
In 2015, average Median Household Income was $55,800 in the United States. Among U.S. counties, the highest MHHI is found in Loudoun County, VA ($125,900). Falls Church, VA ($122,100), Fairfax County, VA ($112,800), and Howard County, MD ($110,200) follow. Other counties with high MHHI are Douglas County (CO), Los Alamos County (NM) and Williamson County (TN).
The lowest Median Household Income is found in Buffalo County, SD ($22,900). Wilcox County, AL ($23,000), Owsley County, KY ($23,300) and Bell County, KY ($24,000) follow.
In 2010, average Median Household Income was $50,000 in the United States. The Top 10 and Bottom 10 counties for 2010 are as follows:
