Recently released data from the U.S. Census Bureau shows which large metros have the fastest growing Millennial populations. Growth is measured by the 5-year percentage change in population (25-34 years old) between 2012 and 2017. Headlight Data ranks population growth for the 53 largest metros (1,000,000+ people) in the U.S.

In the past five years, the U.S. Millennial population grew 7.2%. Among large metros, the highest growth is found in Orlando (19.8%), Austin (17.5%) and Seattle (17.3%). Other large metros with rapid growth are San Antonio, Denver, and Tampa.

The large metros with the lowest Millennial growth are Chicago (-0.3%), Birmingham (1.0%), and Milwaukee (1.5%).
