Top 10 Counties with Best and Worst Performing Warehousing Economies of 2014: San Bernardino County-CA / Riverside Creates the Most Warehousing Jobs; Pierce County-WA / Seattle Loses the Most
Recently released data show that warehousing job creation in 2014 across counties in the US varied from a high of 4,100 in San Bernardino County-CA (Riverside) to a loss of 660 jobs in Pierce County-WA (Seattle).
Out of more than 630 counties with warehousing economies, the Top 5 job creators also included Riverside County-CA (Riverside), Greenville County-SC (Greenville), New Castle County-DE (Philadelphia), and Luzerne County-PA (Scranton).
Warehousing job losses were highest in Pierce County-WA (Seattle), Orange County-CA (LA), Northampton County-PA (Allentown), Will County-IL (Chicago), and Los Angeles County-CA (LA).
Job creation in the warehousing sector in the US has grown significantly. In the last 5 years, the sector grew 17% and created 106,000 new jobs. The sector currently employs 741,000 people in the US.
