Recently released data from the U.S. Census Bureau shows which mid-sized metros have the fastest growing Millennial populations. Growth is measured by the 1-year percentage change in population (25-44 years old) between 2017 and 2018. Headlight Data ranks population growth for the 54 mid-sized metros (500k up to 1M people) in the U.S.

In the past one year, the U.S. Millennial population grew 1.1%. Among mid-sized metros, the highest growth is found in Lakeland, FL (4.7%), Boise City, ID (3.4%) and Colorado Springs, CO (3.3%). Other mid-sized metros with rapid growth are Provo, UT; Spokane, WA; and Palm Bay, FL.

The mid-sized metros with the lowest Millennial growth are Urban Honolulu, HI (-0.8%), Santa Rosa, CA (-0.5%), and Jackson, MS (-0.4%).
