Counties with Best and Worst Performing Warehousing Economies of 2015: Riverside County (Riverside, CA) Creates Most Warehousing Jobs; Macomb County (Detroit, MI) Loses Most

Recently released data show that warehousing job creation in 2015 across counties in the US varied from a high of 5,700 in Riverside County in Riverside, CA to a loss of 680 jobs in Macomb County in Detroit, MI.

Out of more than 600 counties with warehousing economies, the Top 5 job creators also included San Joaquin (Stockton, CA), Baltimore City (Baltimore, MD), Chesterfield (Richmond, VA) and Oklahoma County (Oklahoma City, OK).

Warehousing job losses were highest in Macomb County (Detroit, MI), Spartanburg County (Spartanburg, SC), Delaware County (Columbus, OH), Monroe County (Rochester, NY), and Clayton County (Atlanta, GA).

Job creation in the warehousing sector in the US has grown significantly. In the last 5 years, the sector grew 30% and created 193,000 new jobs. The sector currently employs 823,000 people in the US.
